Cloud Residency Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-13.v3
1. Residency and agreement
Cloud Residency is a private residency registration in the digital identity and community network operated by EdgeAlphix LLC. These Terms and the Platform Terms of Service govern your application, residency and resident credentials. Residency does not confer government nationality, immigration status, legal residence rights, diplomatic status or a travel document, and does not establish a legal entity or bank account.
2. Eligibility and one-person rule
You must be at least 18 and apply as yourself using accurate information. Each natural person may hold one permanent CNID. Creating another account, using a different document or changing personal details does not permit a second number.
Identity verification, adult eligibility and duplicate-identity checks must pass before a CNID or resident credential is issued. An application may be resumed for requested information or a technical failure. A duplicate finding can require review or recovery of the original account; it does not authorize a fresh identity.
3. Application fee and residency term
The $19.99 application fee purchases five years of residency and includes KYC. The period starts when payment succeeds; later verification does not restart or extend it. Payment does not guarantee verification approval. The application fee is non-refundable, including where verification is declined or left incomplete, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly agreed by us.
An account may use the available basic features after payment without verified status. CNID, Digital Resident ID, resident certificates, Wallet credentials and verified identity assertions require completed verification. Renewal is manual and does not involve automatic recurring charges.
4. Permanent number and renewable credentials
Your CNID remains assigned to you and is never recycled. Residency, account access and individual credentials have separate statuses. An expired residency retains its number and supported history, while resident credentials show expiry. Suspension or revocation removes the corresponding benefits and updates live verification.
Downloaded images, PDFs and saved Wallet passes are copies or snapshots. A signature proof establishes the signed file and issuer record; current validity must be checked through live verification. A founding badge is issued to the first 10,000 real CNID recipients only if issuance also occurs before January 1, 2028 UTC, whichever limit is reached first.
5. Names and identity updates
A verified legal name is distinct from a self-selected preferred name. A preferred name may appear separately on supported profiles, greetings, disclosures and ID fields, but must not be presented as the verified legal name. System-controlled identity results cannot be edited through profile settings.
A verified identity update costs $4.99 per request and may include multiple supported changes in that request. Updated identity information requires verification that you are the original holder. A new person's document cannot replace an existing holder's identity. Failed or inconclusive matching leaves the original identity unchanged. Date-of-birth corrections require support review. Payment does not guarantee that a requested update will be approved.
6. Disclosure and connected applications
You control the supported public profile and QR fields independently. Legal and preferred name fields retain their types. Consent to one OIDC application is separate from public settings and may be revoked in account settings.
The Platform Terms describe the additional administrator-approved organization API route, including purpose-limited access to approved nonpublic fields and administrator audits. Do not assume that hiding a public field prevents all authorized operational disclosures described in those terms and the privacy notice.
7. Linked wallets
You may link a self-custody address by proving control. A valid signature establishes the verified address association at the time of the check. It does not guarantee exclusive ownership, lawful funds or continuing access. Cloud Nations does not hold your private keys, custody blockchain assets or execute transactions for you. Protect signing devices and review every wallet prompt.
8. Restrictions and support
Fraud, impersonation, duplicate identities, altered credentials or misuse of private data can lead to review, suspension or revocation under the Platform Terms. Keep account and verified details accurate and contact support when identity or access changes. Mandatory legal remedies remain available.
For an application, identity correction, review or account recovery, contact [email protected] with your Application Number. Do not send government document images, passwords or codes through ordinary email.
